FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT THIS FRIDAY!
Join us on Friday, September 8th at 6:30pm for an outdoor family movie night! Bring a picnic blanket or sleeping bag and enjoy an evening of entertainment under thestars. $5 per person suggested donation at the door. Doors open at 5pm. Concessions and spirit wear sales begin at 5:30pm. All proceeds benefit Friends of Third.

PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE’S LAST WEEK!
Last Week for the PTA membership drive. Congrats to Ms. H. Lee’s class for being the first and only class to reach 100% so far. Join now and help your class reach 100%! It’s not too late, one week to go!
MAKING CARING COMMON KICKS OFF IN THE CLASSROOMS
This week, almost 50 volunteers will start going into classrooms for our monthly Making Caring Common lessons. Some of the topics we will explore this year include Inspiring Kindness, Community Building, Empathy and Understanding and Navigating Emotions. Our first lesson will be on Listening Deeply.

Email jocelyn@mindovermediapr.com once you complete the assignment. Five families will be randomly selected to win Levain cookies!

Please note we have some updated dates and times for costume collections and sale. Drop off all used costumes to Room 33 before, during, or after school between now and September 22nd! Email courtney@adamantlaw.com with questions.
The costume sale will be September 26-29.
MORE THAN A MEAL SURVEY REMINDER
This year our school needs each family to fill out A Household Income Form (HIF) for each student enrolled at Third Street. The HIF form can be completed online at https://hif.lausd.net or by submitting the form sent home with students last week. Completing the HIF form is not about meals, as all students at our school are entitled to free meals at school, regardless of family income.
For more information or assistance in completing the HIF form, please call our community rep Sul Lee, sul.lee@lausd.net.
VOLUNTEERING PROCESS REMINDER
We are so excited to involve parents and caregivers in our wonderful school community this year! Please note that each year requires interested individuals submit the application, even if they completed it for prior years.
The requirements for new volunteers are as follows:
1. Register for a LAUSD volunteer account: https://volunteerapp.lausd.net/
2. Upload proof of COVIC-19 vaccination to Daily Pass: https://portal.safetyclouds.org/
3. TB clearance: submit the result (less than 30 days old) to Sul Lee (Rm33)
Every process will be reviewed by the school and LAUSD. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact to Sul Lee, sul.lee@lausd.net.
TELEHEALTH BENEFIT FOR OUR STUDENTS And FAMILIES
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), in partnership with Hazel Health, is providing a comprehensive school-based telehealth program encompassing physical telehealth services. The purpose of a school-based program is to expand a student's ability to access health care when not feeling well during school hours, with parental consent and a school nurse, while remaining in school and focusing on learning.
